Neurofeedback

By directly training the brain function, Neurofeedback (also called EEG Biofeedback) helps regulation issues in the brain and improve the ability to control impulses, maintain attention,
and think more clearly. In addition to addressing problems of brain dysregulation, Neurofeedback can provide whole-body benefits that allow the central nervous system to function better.
This treatment can target hundreds of symptoms. Want to see if it could help you? Click Here.
During the session, we gently attach a two-channel electrode setup to the client’s scalp and begin listening in on brainwave activity. This allows us to target the areas of the brain that will produce the desired outcome. While the client watches content from Netflix or YouTube, the electrodes register their brainwaves. The screen will shrink and become unfocused when brainwaves aren't focused, then will grow and become clear with the client's brain activity, rewarding good brain function. With this reward system, the brain adjusts and strengthens pathways by watching itself through these screen actions. When the brain strengthens itself, targeted symptoms are shown to reduce!
For the vast majority of clients, their outcomes after 20 or more sessions exceed their initial expectations. After undergoing a gradual, steady learning process, clients are able to improve their self-regulation and create positive results.

Why are you offering free sessions to other therapists? We really want to help fellow therapists be healthy and have nervous systems that can better attune and coregulate with their clients. We also want therapists that might refer clients to neurofeedback to try it so they can speak from their own experience, which is often more meaningful to clients who may be skeptical or nervous. We believe in Neurofeedback as a strong treatment method. We've been offering Othmer Method Neurofeedback since 2018, and have loved the results we've seen. We find that it's a great way to ground clients who have high anxiety or dissociation, and find that it improves the effects of therapies like EMDR.

How do I claim 3 free sessions? We think this will be very good for your own nervous system health, so please be aware to get the full benefits, you would have to continue past three sessions. We'll offer a discounted rate after the first three sessions to support our fellow therapists in their healing. When calling our office to schedule, let our intake coordinator know you're a practicing therapist. We will verify this by looking up your website/psychology today, or by searching for you in Indiana's public license lookup. This promotion ends on July 30th, 2025.

What do sessions cost after I've used my 3 free sessions?Sessions will cost $60.00/session after your first three free sessions.

What is Neurofeedback?Neurofeedback sessions are 30 - 45 minute office visits where we connect you to our system by gently placing 4 electrodes on various spots on your scalp. The electrodes then transfer your brainwaves from our Neuroamp to the video screen as you watch a show on Youtube or Netflix. The screen will react based on your brainwave activity. Your brain interprets that data and makes adjustments to optimize the frequencies in the targeted neural network. Neurofeedback provides whole body benefits that allow the central nervous system to function better.
-
What method of Neurofeedback do you use?We use Othmer Method Neurofeedback.
-
How soon will I notice results? This depends on each person because every brain and body is different! Most people notice a change within 3 - 5 sessions.
-
How often should I do my sessions? We recommend starting with weekly sessions. This makes sure your brain has consistent feedback and can keep practicing the connections it's strengthening during sessions. After you've had 5 sessions, we can start to spreading out appointments if needed. We find that clients begin noticing a difference around 3 sessions, but the training begins to stick around 5 sessions.
-
Do I feel anything during sessions? Our Neurofeedback system is transferring your brainwaves to our Neuroamp, which shows them on the screen. It's like letting your brain look at its neural networks in a mirror so that it can make its own corrections. Because of this, there is no "feeling" during Neurofeedback. You will feel us apply the paste to hold the electrodes, and it may pull your hair a little bit when we remove the electrodes, but we promise we try to be as gentle as possible!
-
Are there any side effects?Neurofeedback is prompting your brain to focus and strengthen certain neural networks, so it can be tiring! You may feel sleepy or have a mild headache after your first couple of sessions. Most clients feel calm and have a deep sense of relaxation after Neurofeedback.
